Microsoft Exchange Subject-Matter-Expert
RESPONSIBILITIES
We're seeking a knowledgeable person experienced with Microsoft Exchange and companion products to work as an analyst, solution designer, and implementer - all things Exchange. This person will be responsible for designing and building out Exchange platforms in test environments and integrating and testing with other products-some from Microsoft and some not. The candidate must demonstrate strong and well-rounded technical knowledge, as well as troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, in order to provide rapid resolution of issues associated with these platforms.
This position will involve 'down-and-dirty' hands-on work such as server hardware build-out, OS installation, testing and evaluation of various add-on products.
A major component of this job includes writing and documenting the results of product evaluation, testing and comparisons.
This position is working primarily out of Redmond, Washington, with occasional travel expected (less than 15%).
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will have a BS in computer science or a related field, and have 3-5 years experience in the IT arena. (We will accept significant job-related experience in lieu of a degree.) The candidate must have deep hands-on experience (at least 2 years) with Microsoft Exchange and companion products. Additionally, the candidate will have solid experience with Microsoft server platforms. Also important is a decent understanding of Active Directory, ISA, IIS, and other Microsoft enterprise and networking products. Complementary skills such as troubleshooting, diagnosis and problem resolution are likewise expected.
The candidate must be able to demonstrate professional-quality writing experience. We'd love to see published articles, magazines, books, blog sites - even internal documentation-to prove your chops. We place a premium on excellent written and verbal communications.
Finally, the candidate should have solid customer facing and consulting experience.
